23 lilies.
Thursday morning (09/10/08)after subuh, decided to take a nap before work. suddenly felt the fan was switched off, was about to scream at my sister when i heard " happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you " gosh, the Nubian Queen(mother) and sis presented a cake while i'm in bed and i think that w
as the first time ever the Nubian Queen brought food into the room since we're not allowed to!(nanti lipas cicak semut datang) heh. was delicious too, chocolate mint, yum. too bad father and bro couldnt be there, bro is still in 2 weeks camp confinement and father was at work. all the same, it was a really sweet surprise from my family since they planned it :)
still in my good mood, i set off to work, almost wishing i could whistle in happiness lol. once i reached my class, my primary 1 immediately launched into a super loud birthday song in malay. which was quite impressive since i've no malay students, mostly chinese except for 3 myanmar students. the funniest part was they pronounced "Hari Jadi" as "Hari Jari". i didnt had the heart to correct them while they were singing so i let them be =p
my primary 3s also sang me the most rowdiest birthday song and they even switched off the lights first to surprise me lol.(t
hey got a scolding from a senior teacher from the chaos, poor things) anyway, received a whole bunch of lovely cards and some gifts with green ribbons (they know my fav colour) which i didnt really expect since it didnt happened on the other teachers' birthdays. guess i'm just lucky lol. the photo shows only some of the cards, i didnt get to take a shot of everything. thanks to all my devilish darlings :)
wan gave me a really special present which would last me a lifetime and i cant say it here or else it would not be special anymore. thanks, hon. and my sis gave me 2 LBD books which i like i like i like!! *gloats* we went to fetch her from work
too on that same thursday, she's attached at CityHub Hotel in Little India at the moment and when we drove there, it was bustling with Deepavali activities. the festive lights were glistening with so many colours. was really lovely to watch from the car. we also drove past the suntec city and esplanade area and the whole night cityscape's view was breathtaking. wish i could have a night ride like that everyday. soon, soon ;)
overall, i guess being 23 doesnt make much of a difference.
but i'll do anything to go back to being 4 with my cupcake dolls and colouring books :)
ciao!
come away with me..
